IN PASSING

A photographic study of the moments we almost miss. In Passing is an ongoing black-and-white photography project by Michael Vaughan, bringing together images made while moving through the city. People, architecture, light, shadow and chance encounters become fragments of a larger story — sometimes dramatic, sometimes quiet, sometimes humorous, but always observed rather than arranged. The project grew from a simple idea: that photography isn’t only about where we go, but what we notice along the way. Created primarily with the Leica M11 Monochrom, In Passing brings together a personal view of urban life — isolated figures, familiar landmarks seen differently, fleeting expressions and the small details that can disappear almost as quickly as they are noticed.
